FIRST TENNESSEE FEATURES BILL TODD AS ARTIST OF THE MONTH
June 01, 2009
Bill Todd, the current “artist of the month” at the First Tennessee Providence branch, is pictured here with one of his custom-made guitars and the financial center manger, Drew Brooks. Todd’s musical talent as a professional musician inspired him to begin his company W Todd & Co. where he designs and manufactures guitars. This exhibit is a continuation of the Providence branch’s “artist of the month” tradition of featuring works from local artists.

This W Todd & Co. arch-top jazz guitar was handcrafted by Bill Todd. He carved the guitar from solid maple wood with Cello inspired curves crafted and tuned by ear to achieve the maximum volume and tone. It is a top-of-the-line model valued at approximately $3,200.
