Comcast will launch 13 new high-definition channels to its subscribers in Middle Tennessee on Friday.
The new HD channels are:

CMT HD – Channel 195
VH1 HD – Channel 196
MTV HD – Channel 197
BET HD – Channel 198
MLB Network HD – Channel 199
Lifetime HD – Channel 217
Spike TV HD – Channel 218
Nickelodeon HD - Channel 228
G4 HD – Channel 257
Style HD - Channel 259
Comedy Central HD – Channel 260
Comcast is the first HD provider to offer more than 1,000 HD choices and has strengthened its industry-leading position by continuing to give consumers what they ask for – more HD choices on TV than anyone else.

The addition of these HD channels allows us to continue to be leader in HD choices.”
Response shows that consumers love seeing sports, movies, TV shows and music in HD. Comcast has listened to consumers and offers live HD sporting events, more than 200 HD movies from top movie providers, nearly 300 television shows and hundreds of music choices like concerts and videos.
