KVBPR set as Presenting Sponsor of State of Metro Address on May 25

Filed under: News — KVBPRNews @ 10:27 am

Katcher Vaughn & Bailey Public Relations (KVBPR) is a presenting sponsor for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s State of Metro Address, scheduled for Thursday, May 25, at the Nashville Convention Center.
Mayor Bill Purcell will provide his review and forecast on the “health” of Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County during the 43rd Annual State of Metro breakfast, which begins at 7 a.m. at the convention center, located at 601 Commerce St.
“All of us at KVBPR are proud to again partner with the Chamber to sponsor the State of Metro Address. It is, by far, the largest business networking opportunity of the year, and is one of those ‘don’t-miss’ events where you will likely see everyone you know or need to know in Nashville,” said KVBPR Partner Aileen R. Katcher, APR, Fellow PRSA.
This is KVBPR’s third year of sponsorship.
The Nashville Chamber established the State of Metro event more than 40 years ago as a community-wide anniversary celebration of the pioneering consolidation of city and county government, which occurred in April 1963.
“The annual State of Metro breakfast is one of the Chamber’s signature events, and it’s one we could not do without the support of dedicated community partners and involved Chamber members like KVBPR,” said Mike Neal, president and chief executive of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Although now held in May, the “State of Metro” event continues to recognize the importance of the Metro consolidation more than 40 years ago. In his 2003 address, Purcell stated, “Metropolitan government is the single smartest thing we ever did. It is the basis for our progress and our hope for the future.”
Individual and corporation registration is available ($25 for an individual and $250 for a reserved Corporate table of eight) at the Chamber Web site at www.nashvillechamber.com. The advance registration deadline is Thursday, May 18.
