KVBPR has received three Globe Awards from the Worldcom Public Relations Group for its work with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, First Tennessee and Nashville Commons at Skyline.

KVBPR was recognized in the public service category for its entry, “BlueCross WalkingWorks for Schools Program Combats Childhood Obesity.” KVBPR was responsible for developing all program strategy and materials, and coordinating the launch of BlueCross WalkingWorks for Schools, a voluntary in-school walking program for grades K-5.

In the community relations category, KVBPR received a Globe Award for its entry, “First Tennessee Changes Its Tune in Nashville.” KVBPR worked with First Tennessee to launch a comprehensive community involvement and awareness program in the Middle Tennessee region, resulting in an increased market share and numerous partnerships with organizations in the area.

KVBPR’s work with Shopping Center Developers (SCD) on “Gaining Approval for Nashville Commons” earned them a Globe Award in the public affairs category. KVBPR worked with SCD to produce educational materials, coordinate public meetings and recruit supporters for a new $75 million shopping center in the North Nashville community, resulting in a unanimous approval vote by the Metro Council.

The Globe Awards are presented annually by the Worldcom Public Relations Group, the world’s leading network of independently owned public relations counseling firms.
